Affordable Housing

The 21-acre campus of ST. VINCENT’S SANTA BARBARA provides two low-income housing options; one for families and one for seniors.

Family housing at St. Vincent’s Gardens

ST. VINCENT’S GARDENS is a progressive development, complete with amenities essential for developing strong families and communities. The lush, tucked-away campus includes playgrounds, walkways, picnic areas, and ample space for recreational activities.

There are 75 units of family housing in 14 buildings with two, three and four bedrooms. The modern and comfortable units are fully-equipped with refrigerators, range/oven units, and a washer/dryer combination.

The campus is also home to St. Vincent’s NAEYC-accredited preschool, the EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CENTER, and a spacious community center with a computer lab and after-school programs.

Senior Housing At Villa Caridad

VILLA CARIDAD is comprised of 95 one-bedroom units in a distinctive multi-story building. The vibrantly-colored walls are adorned with an array of artwork donated by notable local artists, and skylights provide the warmth and brightness of natural daylight throughout. Senior residents also enjoy a large community room with a pool table and large-screen television, outdoor seating and walking paths.

Restricted to low income senior residents (age 62 or older), there are numerous social activities and opportunities for fellowship and community.

Villa Caridad will open waiting list for applications on July 22, 2019 at 8am
